Summer Reading Program
Children tend to shut down from reading over the summer break. With that in mind, the Nacogdoches Rotary Club (Texas, US — District 5910) established the Summer Reading Mobile Library. The Mobile Library visits parks each Tuesday and Thursday with a wide range of books for children through August 4. |
Scholarships Awards Each year the Rotary Club of Nacogdoches awards scholarships to deserving senior students from Nacogdoches County schools entering college. In 2023 $21,000 was awarded to seventeen area students.

Flags At Sunset Cemetery Patriotic and Colorful! As a service to the community, the Rotary Club of Nacogdoches places 100 American flags at Sunset Cemetery. Flags are posted on Independence Day, Patriots Day, Veterans Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, and Flag Day. The presentation is a colorful display offering a sense of patriotism as well as numerous photo opportunities along Sunset Avenue.
