HOPE - Helping Other People Eat

Dr. Sharon Ninness currently serves on the Board of Nacogdoches HOPE Food Panty, which is a partner agency of the Nacogdoches Area United Way and the East Texas Food Bank. This organization provides supplemental food and nutrition information to Nacogdoches County residents with food insecurity.  At HOPE, Sharon is the manager of Jo’s Diner—A Kitchen of HOPE, the coordinator of the evening food distribution, and the director of a new Pantry Expansion Project.  Dr. Ninness also serves as the chair of the Nacogdoches County Hunger Relief Coalition, which sponsors countywide produce drops and community resources roadshows.
